Reasons I do what I do ... and making sweet memories

A couple of weeks ago, a fellow photography friend of mine, Jill Higgins, referred the Scott family over my way for a family photo-shoot. CLICK HERE to see there session. I really believe that every client that comes my way seems to be a perfect fit, and I always seem to learn a little bit more about life and how God displays his beauty in so many ways. A few days after the photo-shoot I got this sweet email from Julie about her experience. I can't tell you how much emails like this mean to me. I found my self tearing up when reading these sweet words.

Dear Amanda,

Words cannot describe your talent. You have touched my life in so many ways in just being together a little over an hour. You will never know how much I will cherish those snippets of precious moments between my children and myself in the photographs you were able to capture over the years. I cannot thank you enough for agreeing to shoot us, for being so kind, and for your amazing presence. While reading the blog, I had tears streaming down my face. As a mother, you hope and pray that you show your children how loved they are everyday and also remember to thank God for blessing you with them. I am glad my love for them is as visible on the outside as it is in my heart. Right now, I am thanking God (and Jill Higgins) for finding you! You are a truly one of a kind!

Love,
Julie

I always look forward to getting to know the people who's lives I capture, and developing a friendship with them. I think by getting to know my clients and their personalities, it helps me capture their true beauty and passion for life. For all of you who have a family shoot or wedding booked with me, I hope to get to know you even more and I look forward to creating memories for you that you will have for the rest of you life.

Another relationship that means to world to me, is my relationship with my husband Josh. We seriously do everything together, and can't get enough of it! I am so lucky to have found someone that I can spend everyday loving and laughing and making sweet precious memories.

Josh is a very talented Video Director - (You will get to see some of his work on my website soon, with my promo video and also we are hoping to start offering video packages for weddings). He invited me on a shoot he had Wednesday for H20's promo video and I grabbed a couple of shots, but mainly just enjoyed watching him do what he does best!

mmm... so cute

Awesome Amanda!
This is what it is all about for sure.
A friend and I were just talking about how fortunate we are to do what we do, because we love what we do. The other great thing about it is that we are able to give this gift to people. In a way it is like our chance to leave something behind in this world.
